Our client came to us with a challenge that we love: to bring joy and colour to an unremarkable lobby space - with art! We knew immediately that Emily Jackson’s work would be perfect. She uses paint and collage on canvas; the layers, complexity and general air of busyness mirror the hectic London streets that surround you. Emily walks a delicate balance between singular form and expansive pattern, one that lends her work a general sense of optimism and positivity. It’s bright and vibrant, but also sophisticated.
The client was also adding a gorgeous terrace space, with views across the London rooftops. We decided to keep the language of the artwork the same, and commissioned Emily to make another painting. In this, much brighter space, we see her colours flowing beautifully from inside to outside.
